Rory Duffield - Head Physiotherapist
Physiotherapy Experience:
1979 – 1981 - Trained as a remedial gymnast – University Hospital of Wales.
1981 – 1982 – Trainee remedial gymnast at Pontefract General Infirmary.
1982 – 1985 – Junior therapist at Leicester General Infirmary.
1985 – Present – Pontefract General Infirmary as senior physiotherapist.
Professional interests:
87 – 92 – Provided physiotherapy for Sheffield Eagles
92 – 98 – Physiotherapist for Wales Rugby Union Team
I have professionally have attended many post graduate courses about specialising in exercise, joint mobilisation, manipulation and the treatment of movement associated with neurological patients.
Other courses attended have given me the expertise needed with electrotherapy and acupuncture allowing me to be able to offer comprehensive treatment plans to ensure the most appropriate treatment.
I feel that the 26 years involved as a physiotherapist has given me the expertise necessary to be able to treat patients with confidence and skills to ensure the best possible solution for their individual problem.
